Who knew that San Mateo County and Burgundy had this much in common? Apparently our neighbor Kevin Harvey did. His Rhys Vineyard produces some of the most sought after new world wines with real Burgundian feel, texture and taste. This lot includes the most local of their offerings, a 2009 Pinot from Family Farm Vineyard (yes, that one right off of Sand Hill and Portola Road), a 2009 Pinot from Alpine Vineyard, also adjacent to Portola Valley, and a 2009 Chardonnay from the same Vineyard. All of these are highly rated by all the Burgundy snobs and "experts" as well.
