Description
Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) was one of Japan's most revered artists, and "The Great Wave Off Kanagawa" is his most famous work. The first in a series of woodcuts called "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji" (you can see Fuji in the background), it depicts a large okinami - a "wave of the open sea." This elegant glass vase is 4 ½" square, 12" high.
