Carrigaholt (Irish: Carraig an Chabhaltaigh, meaning "Rock of the Fleet") is a small fishing village in County Clare, Ireland. The village boasts a ruined castle that stood guard over the mouth of the Shannon and the local fishing pier.
Carrigaholt is an excellent area for walking, swimming, fishing, golf, good food, and drink. Local pubs and eateries boast Irish traditional music most nights. There is plenty to do nearby, such as horse and pony trekking, hillwalking, surfing, fishing, sailing and golf. The dolphin watch boat leaves from the local pier which also hosts West Clare's only fresh fish shop.
