Description

Feel the warmth and weight of a vintage Japanese/Hawaiian Kakefuton or comforter.  This item was made of Kabe Fabric (Hawaiian rayon popular in the 1940's -50's) printed with storks that symbolize happiness and longevity.  The backing and edging are a forest green silk, the batting is 100% cotton and is hand anchored.  This particular piece was made in 1952, measures approximately 5' x 4.5' and has been preserved beautifully with only a few discoloration spots on the backing.
