Sushi Nozawa's hip kid brother, SugarFISH provides Brentwood seafood purists with some of the freshest, most delicately prepared sushi in the SoCal area. Celebrated sushi chef Kazunori Nozawa has crafted a menu of salt water delights that is based on old-fashioned, austere principles of sushi preparation, shunning Americanized menu items or fusion dishes for an aesthetic that is bold, pure and traditional. 

Daily menu options depend on whatever is the freshest catch, but you're likely to be able to choose from among the following delicacies: Tuna or oyster sashimi, two-piece snapper, yellowtail or halibut, and hand rolls such as cucumber, scallop or crab. The daily 'Trust-Me' prix fixe meal is a bountiful selection of sushi, hand rolls, sashimi and, of course, edamame (all for the low price of $27.50). Every menu item comes with Chef Nozawa's signature warm rice and crisp nori. A small but reliable selection of high-end sakes is available to wash it all down. The restaurant itself is as spare and austere as the delicious items on the menu: wooden tables and chairs, modern wall art, low-light hanging bulbs and soft leather benches along the walls.
