Jeff Thygeson has performed extensively throughout the United States, both as soloist and chamber musician. As a former member of the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet, he has performed across the country in numerous recitals, as well as concerto appearances with the Minnesota Orchestra, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Austin (TX) Symphony, Columbus (GA) Symphony, Owensboro (KY) Symphony, DuPage (IL) Symphony and the Orchestra of Indian Hill (MA). Jeffrey has also been a prize-winning guitarist in several competitions. He received his BA from the University of St. Thomas and MM from the University of Southern California, where he studied with William Kanengiser and received the Pi Kappa Lambda Guitar Scholarship Award. Also a committed educator, Jeff continues to teach and develop innovative strategies for teaching music.
