Its beach has a section popular with surfers (Herring Point). The state park also has a concession stand, bath house, fishing pier, outdoor basketball court, Frisbee golf course, circuit bike trail, and a WWI watchtower you can climb up the stairs to enjoy the views (if you have the stamina).
