Up to three kids will receive a tour of a real scientific research laboratory and the chance to use a real scanning electron microscopes (SEM). Each participant will receive a piece of a meteorite (a rock from outer space!) and will be able to examine it at very high magnification in the SEM. We will also view other interesting samples (hair, dust, bugs, etc.) and each participant will get to drive the microscope. This event is best for 4th graders and up; it lasts two hours. Time and date must be mutually agreed upon, and this offer expires March 31, 2013.
