Explore the Lower East Side with Professor Annie Decker. Winners will receive a guided tour (students choice of tour!) of the Lower East Side Tenement Museum and a meal nearby before or after.

"I think what made the Tenement Museum so fun was that it wasn't somewhere I would have gone on my own and it was so fascinating to see the progression of NYC from back then and then walking out of that time capsule into the trendy area that it is today. We sometimes forget how the city used to be and who it used to belong to. It was also just a great experience to get to know Professor Decker outside the classroom."
"The trip was really fun. The tour guide was an expert on the lower east side and taught us a lot about New York City history and immigration patterns. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the tenements were incredibly well preserved and gave us a clear picture of what it would have been like to live in the area at the turn of the century. It was also great to hang out with Professor Decker outside of school."
