Pachyderm from Paradise

This hand-carved elephant will steal your heart! Donated by Elements of Paradise in Cocoa Village and beautifully handcrafted by a native artist from the island of Bali, this element of paradise was carved out of suar wood, a fast- growing tree from the rain forest in Bali.  The Suar tree has a weak root system so when it gets so tall it falls over and then just grows up again ~ like bamboo.  The intricate detail of the saddle blanket and headdress are a sight to behold.
