On Saturday, May 19, Musica Sacra presents its final concert of the season, To Sleep, Perchance to Dream.
We relish it, we need it, we fear it. It soothes us and it frightens us. The subject of sleep has been an inspiration for composers from the Renaissance to the Romantic to the Modern. Explore our vast, rich, dreaming world and the velvety realm in which it transpires with this lush program of choral works.
Featured in the concert will be Grammy award-winning Eric Whitacre's Sleep, and music by Ticheli, Lauridsen, Elgar, Saint-Saëns, Lassus, Ramsey, and others.
