Bid for two (2) orchestra tickets to hear Taconic Opera, recipient of the 2012 Arts Organziation of the Year Award, perform Donizetti's Daughter of the Regiment (La Fille de Regiment) in two locations: May 3-5, 2013, at the Yorktown Stage; May 11-12, 2013, at the Performing Arts Center, Purchase College SUNY.

This comic gem tells the story of an orphan girl raised by a regiment of male soldiers. Discovering her aristocratic background, she must learn to fit into noble society while abandoning the only culture that she knows and loves. Donizetti displays his signature wit, and the opera contains the aria that made Pavarotti famous with its nine high C's: Ah, mes ami.  A must see!
