Dinner for 8 starts with stuffed mushrooms and homemade cheese straws followed by your choice of short ribs of beef slow cooked in red-wine sauce or chicken pot pie in a buttery crust. A green salad and warm, crusty homemade Parker House rolls round out the meal. If you have room left, enjoy a warm apple dessert or a fudge brownie topped with homemade ice cream and salted caramel sauce.

A selection of wine and beer and nonalcoholic beverages is included, along with a sampling of Jonathan's favorite comfort drink—single-malt scotch—before or after the meal.
