Calistoga Ranch's "Beckstoffer-To Kalon" Cabernet Sauvignon is from Beckstoffer's signature vineyard in Oakville.  He has none better than this, and we are forutnate to hget it.  To Kalon is located on Highway 29 right across from Oakville Grocery.  Year after year is produces Napa Valley's finest cabs.  The terroir (climate, plant and soil combination) is what make this vineyard so special.  Oakville is just warm enough to e perfect for ripening cabernet, while the soil is a gravely loam that has great drainage and airflow.  The aromas are very plush and ripe, and a palate that is layered with plum and blackberry.  The tannins are round and soft.  It is aged for 27 months in 100% new French oak.
