For our auction project this year, Room 8 built an Outdoor Playhouse!  Yep, that's right, the students built it stick by stick, which allowed for lots of Montessori learning opportunities: planning,  measurement, math, organizational and community decision-making skills.  We are now in the process of interior decorating.  The kids chose a light blue interior paint accented by colorful handprints on the ceiling.  The blue weatherproof curtains on the windows and indoor/outdoor rug finish off this great clubhouse. 

The playhouse is 4' by 6' and 6' tall at the peak, constructed in two parts for easy transport to it's lucky new owners.  Once on site, it will be bolted together as one.  The exterior is a neutral beige paint to suit most any backyard and homeowner's association.
