Ms. Perezza’s Class Auction Project

            I am happy to announce that this year’s auction project is finished and can be viewed in the front lobby of the school! This year the class made two “Fable Tables.”  The “Fable Tables” were inspired by two of Aesop’s Fables: The Tortoise and the Hare and The Raven and the Swan. Each of the students helped paint and carve the title of one of their favorite stories or fables into the legs of the tables. Then several of the students helped carve a picture inspired by The Raven and the Swan into the top of one of an end table. Local artist Richard Craw (www.richardcraw.com) was kind enough to help us by painting a gorgeous scene from The Tortoise and the Hare on the top of the other table. We are very lucky to have had his help.

             We are very happy with the way the project came out and the children did a GREAT job helping! A big thank you to everyone who helped by making a donation for the paint supplies and wood. Please view the project in the front lobby and at the Spring Auction on April 14, 2012.
