Description

Experience China with these two unique items. Included are a beautiful cloissone dragon plate (with easel) and a set of 4 snuff bottles with reverse painting.

Snuff bottles were used by the Chinese during the Qing Dynasty to contain powdered tobacco. Smoking tobacco was illegal during the Dynasty, but the use of snuff was allowed because the Chinese considered snuff to be a remedy for common illnesses such as colds, headaches and stomach disorders. This particular collection of bottles is called "Mountains and Waters of Four Seasons."

Special Instructions

Plate is approximately 8" in diameter without the easel.
