The Gerber & Parsons Families invite 12 lucky guests for a truly Swiss experience... An adults only Raclette Dinner! What is Raclette?  It is a traditional Swiss dish of melted cheese that is typically served at festive occasions.  The name comes from the French word racler which means to scrape.  Most people in the USA know the Swiss Fondue Party where people dip bread into hot bubbly cheese.  With a Raclette Party you gather around the table, heat little trays of cheese under a warmer while enjoying white wine, passing around potatoes, pickles and dried meats, and engaging in deep conversations.  When you notice your tray of cheese bubbling, you pull it out and scrape it onto your plate of goodies... Voilà you have your raclette!

To attend this exclusive event, one must love two things: Stokes & Cheese!  True Swiss Raclette runs in upwards of $20 per pound... This is the Prime Rib of cheese!  These two familes of Swiss origin are pulling their resources together to put on the best raclette party this side of the Atlantic.  On the menu will be: Cocktails, wine, beer, hot spiced tea, assorted appetizers like Tête de Moine and dried meats, Raclette Cheese,  mini-potatoes, grilled meats & mushrooms, salad, and dessert! There will sure to be some fine Swiss Chocolate for our guests to take home as well.  During our dinner we will raise our glasses to Stokes School!
