Amy Alquist, a registered dietitian, and a graduate of RIT with an internship at Cornell, offers a certificate for one hour of nutritional counseling. Currently Amy does both inpatient and outpatient assessments,  diabetes and cardiac nutrition classes,and nutritional counseling for weight management, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, liver disease, kidney disease, and pregnancy using a science based approach. The one hour session would consist of assessing your nutritional status and making recommendations for possible changes to your diet and lifestyle. This one hour session would not be covered by medical insurance. The counseling could be done in your home or some other location that would be agreeable to both.
