Hyla Sloane is a third generation Denverite and graduate of the University of Denver. She is not a professional artist but has always had a high regard for those who are. Her degrees are in speech pathology, audiology and psychology. She loves to dabble in art and looks forward to creating a mask for The Mask Project. Her 2012 entry represents the Zodiac sign Leo which she created in memory of her mother, Dena Stoole, a Leo born on July 23.
