Sara Mayo created this mask for Elise Wiggins, executive chef at Panzano Restaurant. The mask design was inspired by the red Murano style glass chandelier that is the signature element in the redesigned Panzano dining room. Using the color scheme of the restaurant and an art medium deeply rooted in Italian art history, she chose to juxtapose the form of the chandelier within the contours of the mask allowing viewers to notice how the two forms beautifully complement one another.
