Harry Belafonte is a songwriter and actor who was dubbed the "King of Calypso" for popularizing the Caribbean musical style with an international audience in the 1950s. New York native Lisa Beegle considered it an honor to create this mask for Harry Belefonte using watercolor and pastel pencil. She is a Denver artist who studied fine art and illustration at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. She does a variety of commissioned art including murals, greeting cards and button designs.
