Jane McFadden Dorsey of Wheat Ridge, is a professional artist specializing in painting and paper (pulp) sculpting. She has organized and participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and is a recipient of local achievement awards. Her work is in private collections nationally. Her lion mask is named Uncle Albert. "Whenever I create a wild animal, I am haunted by their diminishing habitat," she says. "I am happy when my work stops someone long enough to think about what the images and colors might be saying to them. It's communication at its purest level."
