Description
Janet Wright-Heller has loved art since elementary school, went on to college at the Massachusetts College of Art and did portraits to pay for her ski habit. Her love the outdoors and the Western landscape eventually inspired her to move to Colorado. Her passion for the visual arts are drawing and painting, with watercolor being a particular favorite. As a Denver Public Schools art educator, she has exhibited her work at the Colorado Institute Art Gallery but most of her art is for family and friends. Her mask, Chipeta, is a Ute peacemaker, the wife of Chief Ouray - advisor, confidant of her husband.
