Denver native Lisa Garness Mallory began her art career at age 16. As a fine art photographer she developed a technique of etching with needles directly onto her photography. Her art can be seen in local and international shows and exhibits.

Her mask, A Native Experience, was inspired by her love for Native American art. In addition to etching, she drew shapes and textures in and around the mask and enhanced lines to create detail and contrast by painting with colored inks.
