Ed Towbin graduated from North High School and M.I.T. School of Architecture. Hes been painting since 1960, with work ranging from abstract geometrical compositions to semi-abstract landscapes and portraits in oils and pastels. Hes a supporting member of Spark Gallery. His mask, Reflections Sparks, is covered with industrial material hes been using on select projects over the past three years. The material diffracts the light hitting the work to give a dynamic kinetic image that changes with the quality of light and location and motion of the viewer.
