Denver artist Angela Kalyvianakis enjoys expanding her knowledge of art by reading books about other artists. She uses her keen insight into the human condition, combined with raw and unfiltered talent, to create paintings described as powerful and intuitive. Her mask is in honor of her grandfathers who have passed. The mask represents how when one door closes another opens - the tree grows from the ground where they are buried.
