Description
Karen Kaisers career as a creative artist has taken her to Spain, New York, Houston, San Francisco and most recently The California Center for the Arts in San Diego. She creates in all forms of media including drawing, oil, watercolor, collage, sculpture and jewelry design. Karen designed her mask just weeks after her 97-year-old mother, Aileen, passed away in Denver. Hospice greatly aided in this transition and the family has been grateful for the help Hospice provides to end-of-life people and their families, says Karen. The mask depicts a young Aileen who is of Finnish descent. She had golden hair and dreamed of traveling to Finland to see the Northern Lights. The mask depicts those lights, angel wings, pearls and a wistful Ali.
