Description
Sugar skulls are the most popular symbol of Mexico's favorite holiday, Dia de los Muertos. While the skull symbol in many cultures is seen as a negative sign, in Mexico the skulls are meant to honor both the living and the dead. The skulls are creatively designed with vibrant colors, patterns and designs and they are a symbol of celebration and love.
The Mask Project created a great way to honor our loved ones and express the meaning behind the sugar skulls. With the mask as the base, we decided to use sharpies as our medium. Our chefs use Sharpies everyday when labeling food items. A chef without a Sharpie is quite an unusual sight so we figured; why not take on The Mask Project like any good chef would, with a Sharpie in hand!
***This mask comes with a premium - "Wine Paired Dinner for Six at Second Home Kitchen + Bar". This dinner will be held in the private dining room of Second Home Kitchen + Bar and will be cooked exclusively by Executive Chef Jeff Bolton. Each course will be paired with the perfect wine from our extensive selection.
