Description
The Red Zinger Bicycle Classic was America's premier cycling event from 1975 to 1979. In 1980 the race changed sponsorship and became the Coors International Bicycle Classic. Over the next eight years the race grew in size and scope to become the largest and most important pro-am cycling event in the world. Involved with publication design and paste-up from year one, Joseph Daniel became the Official Race Photographer in 1977 and the Publisher & Producer of the annual Race Magazine, calendars and posters from 1979 through its final event in 1988. He was also very successful in publishing freelance photographs of the race in major national magazines
