Description
Over the course of three lessons you will learn the Fungah - the Welcome Dance of Senegal. This is a festive dance traditionally performed by villagers - woman, men and children, young and old. It was made famous in the 1940's by Cuban American dancers.
The dance features brightly colored scarves and ribbons held by the dancers. It can be performed in a high-powered, energetic manner or modified to be low impact.
This dance is fun to enjoy outdoors!

There are over 30 movements in this dance, of which approximately 6 will be covered.
