Calling all Drama Queens, Movie Buffs, Aspiring Film Critics, Unabashed Hams, Wallflowers, Charade-Lovers and Closeted Star/lettes.

Have you ever wondered what a film script looks like? Or left a movie thinking, "I could do better than that!"?  Gather 5-8 friends for an evening of creativity, laughter and light-hearted, parlor-game fun. Together, we’ll write a three -page screenplay, drawn from what happens in the room, create the characters, give them a problem (conflict is key), and play out those roles.

No prior experience necessary. Suitable for egos of all levels. If you can do Charades, you can do this.

Catherine Flaxman, co-founder of the Lomi School, is a writer, screenwriter, and story/script consultant, who has sold screenplays and received individual artists’ grants (for fiction and for screenwriting) from the Marin Arts Council. She teaches at Book Passage in Marin and at Spirit Rock.  She’s a licensed psychotherapist and seminar leader, with a background in the creative, contemplative arts and expressive arts.
