Smitty's convenient one-stop entertainment solution was the brainchild of four brothers from Merrimac, Massachusetts who opened a single-screen cinema pub in early 1992. The idea of eating in big, comfortable chairs while watching a movie was an instant hit, and they now own and manage 3 cinemas in Sanford and Biddeford, Maine and Tilton, New Hampshire.

Smitty's puts the focus on food, making sure their customers are getting meals they enjoy at reasonable prices. The staff takes great care to serve everybody efficiently and accurately, leaving customers to enjoy their movie while being available when needed.
