Description

Located one hour north of the airport at Cabo San Lucas in the quiet, seaside town of Los Barriles, this charming bungalow sits a stone's throw from the turquoise-colored Sea of Cortez.  A short walk down a secluded lane lands you on 30 miles of virtually empty white sand beaches with pristine waters of the Sea of Cortez at your toes.  This area is known as a world-class sailboard and bike location, as well as a sport-fishing oasis.  The Bajas's East Cape (as this area is known - and there is no travel advisory in effect for this area on the State Department website) is also a mountain bike, dirt bike and ATV destination.  Hiking, horseback riding, swimming, eating and relaxing in a hammock are also among the popular activities for the Los Barriles visitor.

500 feet from the beach, this one bedroom/one bath casa (main house) and one bedroom/one bath casita (guest quarters) sleeps 4.  This retreat is situated in a completely walled, 1/4 acre compound of fruit trees and palms.  The sweet smell of hibiscus and bougainvillea surround you, as a small herb garden grows for the use of the chef.  The kitchen is complete with large refrigerator, ice-maker, gas stove/oven and dishwasher.  A washer/dryer set is also available for your use.  The palapa roof of the main house exudes warmth and charm, as the rooftop deck provides panoramic views of the mountains to the west and the Sea of Cortez to the east, north and south.

DSL/internet is available for your laptop needs and  a Vonage 208-area code phone number and phone are included.

Bring your bikini, your sunscreen and a good book.  Grab a margarita!  This is the good life!
