(1) Indoor Swim party for a maximium of 18 children aged 10 or under at the DeMont Family Swim School
Group Lessons
30-minute classes ages 36 months (3 years) and up.
4 students per class maximum.

Tadpole: Introduction to the basic skills necessary for swimming. For nervous students or fearful students. We work on submersions, back floats and great attitudes.

Goldfish: Must be comfortable underwater, but have not yet caught a breath on their own. We work on rollover breathing, back floats and independence in the water.

Jellyfish: Must be able to take three consecutive breaths unassisted. We focus on building strength, confidence and independence in the water.

Octopus: Must be comfortable on their backs and able to work the width of the pool. We focus on big-arm freestyle with side breathing, back stroke and sculling.

Lobster: Must have solid freestyle and backstroke skills. We focus on all four strokes and endurance.

Hammerhead Squads
½ hour classes
4 students max per class

Hammerhead Juniors: Must know the fundamentals of all four competitive strokes. We focus on refining the four competitive strokes through specific stroke drills.

Hammerhead Seniors: We focus on technique, and continue to refine the four strokes and individual medley events.

It is crucial that a learn-to-swim program be part of every child’s life. We offer weekly, year-round, half-hour swim lessons for people 6 months and up using an internationally recognized, proven, systematic, fun and developmentally appropriate method for teaching children to learn to swim.
