Special Instructions
· Marc Morial - President of the National Urban League and former mayor of New Orleans from 1994 to 2002. Morial set a new course for the organization, embarking on a plan he called an "Empowerment Agenda." Citing the inequality that plagued the lives of black Americans, Morial focused his agenda on educating youth, connecting blacks with meaningful employment, addressing healthcare issues in the black community, taking positive steps toward civil and racial justice, and promoting civic engagement. You can see Marc during the week on “Morning Joe” and “Hardball with Chris Matthews” and many Sunday mornings on “Meet the Press”, “Up with Chris Hayes”, and “Melissa Harris Perry Show”.
· Michelle Miller - CBS news correspondent, frequent anchor for CBS News, and works on a variety of programs including the "CBS Evening News," "CBS This Morning" and "CBS News Sunday Morning." She has interviewed prominent figures on both the local and world stage, including President Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, former Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev, Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Mathai, Jazz great Wynton Marsalis and Grammy superstar Beyonce.
· Ron Allen - NBC foreign and national correspondent, Ron has traveled to more than 75 countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Balkans, Israel and the Palestinian territories, and across Africa, in countries such as Rwanda, South Africa and Somalia to name just a few. Ron’s work has earned many of journalism’s highest honors, including six Overseas Press Club Awards, five Emmys, two Robert F. Kennedy Awards, two George Foster Peabody Awards, and two Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Awards.
· Adora Udoji – former CNN and ABC national and foreign correspondent, co-anchor of The Take Away, WYNC News. Major international assignments that Adoara has covered include the Iraq War, the war in Afghanistan, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. She has also covered Wimbledon, The British Open and the Tour de France. She won the Peabody Award for her coverage of Hurricane Katrina. She was also awarded a Cine Eagle statute for an ABC News documentary on death row.
