Tom and Mark Shea officially started Shea Bros upholstering in 1977. They both worked in the same shop in high school as apprentices under the watchful eyes of a Master Craftsman. They began taking on side jobs working in our family basement and soon became very busy. They worked full time from the basement for seven years. They founded their present location in Historic Essex, Massachusetts in 1982.
