A Week's Timber Frame Lodging on Lake Superior

Item Number: 139
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
A week's stay in a private timber frame guest cabin on the shore of Lake Superior in Lutsen, MN. The timber frame was built at North House Folk School. The guest space includes two bedrooms (one queen bed and two twin beds), a full gourmet kitchen, sitting/dining area with a table that can seat 12 (gets a little crowded, but we have done it) and a wood stove/fireplace. The bathroom features a Japanese soaking tub, along with a shower and the usual fixtures. The upstairs guest living area includes a large screen porch with great views of the lake. Downstairs is another screen porch and the entrance to the "summer kitchen" and craft room. The "summer kitchen" services the outdoor fire pit/grill and the wood-fired bread oven (the oven was also built at North House). The guest cabin is fully furnished, including linens, and includes a washer and dryer. The cabin has 200 feet of Lake Superior ledge rock shoreline.
Your stay will include use of the wood-fired oven, with instructions on building a fire and making and baking pizzas. If desired, there will be a wine tasting each night of your stay.
