One 45 minute singing lesson - private singing instruction/vocal coaching for students of all ages from five years old to senior adults. With several years experience teaching people how to sing, my teaching is supportive, focused but yet a fun environment to grow as an artist and find your voice. If you are a rock singer in a band experiencing vocal strain or a choral singer who participates in a local church choir or community chorus who wants to broaden your range or project your voice with ease, then The Sharon Singing Studio is the place to become that singing artist. As singing is the most natural instrument because your body is the instrument, I will teach you the correct way to warm up your voice and body and use it as your singing instrument. Good vocal technique starts with 1. Posture, 2. Respiration, 3. Phonation, 4. Resonation and 5. Articulation - I teach successful presentation skills for auditions, recitals and performances. The genres of music I generally teach are opera, classical art songs, musical theater, Disney songs for kids and folk music; however, I am also available to correct any vocal health issues for rock, pop, jazz and contemporary style singers as well focusing on problem areas such as vocal strain.
