About Me
I love books and have since I was a little girl growing up on a ranch in Southern California. I wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder, Nancy Drew, and all the other heroines I encountered in my literary travels. I became a teacher to share my love of story with my students. When I discovered Barefoot Books while on vacation in Maine, it was a match made in heaven. I bought Fiesta Feminina, a collection of Mexican Folk Tales, to share with my second and third graders back home in California. The gorgeous art and beautiful stories drew me in, and I have loved sharing them with my customers over the years. Who knew that I would end up moving to Maine and have a growing and successful Barefoot business after that first Barefoot Book came into my life!
I love that I have this creative outlet and something magical to share with my community while I raise my sweet boys, Benjamin and Noah. I especially love leading storytimes, running book fairs for schools and libraries, and setting up my "traveling bookstore" at local fairs and festivals. I love helping people host Book Parties or Book Looks, whether sharing books over coffee and danishes or wine and cheese with friends and family. I enjoy connecting and collaborating with fellow Ambassadors through Facebook and the Barefoot forums, and I am very excited to be leading a FABULOUS team of enthusiastic, active, inspirational, and successful individuals from all over the country! I am always happy to add more people to our fantastic team, and we communicate often on our Facebook team page, through email, and on the phone during conference calls and individual check-ins!

All packing and shipping of items will be handled by Global Packing & Shipping. Please contact them for an estimate at 207.236-2926 or global@midcoast.com.
All items and gift certificates may be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce office on One Park Drive in Rockland. Gift certificates will be mailed to the winners at no charge. If the winner is unable to pick up an item, it will be shipped to them and they will be responsible for all shipping and handling fees, which will be added to the winning bid amount. Items will be shipped and billed at standard industry rates.
