Four (4) Mini Golf Passes Good at any Jungle Golf, Pirate's Cove, or Pirate's Island Adventure Golf.
THE FIRST MINIATURE GOLF COURSE in the world was the "Men's Putting club of St. Andrews" in Scotland and was founded in 1867. Europe spawned a mini-golf revolution; which didn't make an appearance in the United States until 1916. Popularity gained momentum in America with the advent of "Tom Thumb Miniature Golf" near Chattanooga, TN in 1927. By the mid 1930's popularity was waning, and bothers' Joseph & Robert Taylor from Binghamton, NY set out to revive the game. Their cousin left behind windmills, castles and creative obstacles.
Following the Taylor bothers vision, James Bryan & Al Tirrel, of Myrtle Beach, SC took miniature golf to another level extensively landscaping holes around hills, lakes, and waterfalls. Their creation, Junglegolf, was the very first of its kind. During the 1980's Ed Graft, of Traverse City, Michigan coined the term "Adventure Golf." Today, with over thirty-five locations throughout the United States, Junglegolf, Pirate's Island & Pirate's Cove set a high standard for Adventure Golf.
