The condo is 5 blocks from the harbor, there is fresh seafood at the market on the dock, fresh oysters at the oyster farm, lavendar fields, llama farms, terrific restaurants on the island....Friday Harbor is 1000 miles from Carmel.  By car, it is a comfortable two day road trip, including a 1 hour ferry ride from Anacortes to Friday Harbor. Alternatively, fly to Seattle, and then take a float plane from downtown Seattle's Lake Union to Friday Harbor and enjoy the splendor of the San Juan Islands from the air!!
