Teds education includes a masters degree in Marriage, Family and Child counseling, a week-long training in the WORK by Byron Katie, and two week-long trainings in Nonviolent Communication,  He has also completed seven month-long programs at Esalen Institute, and two month-long programs at Omega Institute,
