Description

This package is for a Two-Night stay in a Design-a-Room Suite at the El Cortez and Dinner for Two at the Flame Steakhouse. In February of 2011, El Cortez Hotel & Casino named "The Big Sleep" Suite as the winner of its Design A Suite Downtown Contest. The contest was open to all interior designers with a Nevada license and they were encouraged to redesign an El Cortez hotel suite while staying true to the hotel's vintage themes.

"The Big Sleep" played into El Cortez's mobster beginnings when the likes of Bugsy Siegel, Meyer Lansky, Mo Sedway and Gus Greenbaum owned the property. The suite's unique mob design ranges from a huge, plush chair facing the door (so that the "boss" never has his back to the entrance) to the desert landscape, used as wallpaper, where many past mobsters took their final "dust nap."

The Flame Steakhouse is one of Las Vegas' hidden gems and a favorite among knowledgeable locals. From delicious steaks to fresh seafood, the menu has a meal sure to satisfy the most discerning palate.
