Description
GUIDED BIRD TOUR OF HENDERSON BIRD PRESERVE OR OTHER BIRDING HOT SPOT IN LAS VEGAS
The Red Rock Audubon Society in Las Vegas has over 1000 members in the valley, and their members are pleased to provide a personalized guided bird watching tour for an individual or small group of up to 12 people. The Las Vegas Valley lies on the eastern edge of the Pacific Flyway, and beautiful birds migrate along the Colorado River in the thousands, particularly in the Fall and Spring. They fly from Canada to Central America.
Your personal birding tour will be led by one of our experienced birding guides, JeAnne Branca, a well known Las Vegas birder. JeAnne is available all days of the week, but keep in mind early birding, beginning at 7am to 8 am, is the best starting time. The trip length will be approximately 3 to 4 hours. September and the fall and spring months are the finest birding months. Bird watching involves strolling, not quick walking, so everyone, of all ages, is able to participate. Beginning birders are welcome. The Henderson Bird Preserve does have a Bird Mobile (a golf cart seating 6) which can be used for those with limited mobility. All other locations will be walking only. The tour will be tailored to the birding interests of the winner.
