Description
Earl Moran was a legend in his own lifetime. His paintings of beautiful pin-ups were reproduced by the millions for fifty years, from 1930 to 1980. He was perhaps the most publicly visible of the calendar artists, working closely with the American press and with numerous Hollywood stars, including Marilyn Monroe, who posed for Moran both before and after she became a star. Working in pastels for most of his career the artist turned oil paintings n his later years, focusing his talent on creating sensuous nudes for an exclusive group of California art galleries.
