Description

Gil Elvgren is considered the most sought after pin-up and glamour artist of the twentieth century by leading collectors, galleries, dealers, and museums that handle original pin-up and glamour art throughout the world. Elvgren was to calendar art and advertising art what Norman Rockwell was to magazine art. The paintings Elvgren created for the calendar market depicted sexy American girls in everyday situations that the viewer could easily identify with. Having studies under and worked with Haddonm Sundblom (creator of Coca-Cola’s famous Santa Claus ads), Elvgren went on to teach many other important artists and illustrators.
