Description
Joyce Ballantyne was an accomplished female illustrator who specialized in pin-up and glamour art from WWII until the early 1960’s. Having both studied with and worked under the legendary illustrator Gil Elvergren, Ballantyne had the opportunity to learn firsthand the magical painting skills that Elvgren had acquired from Haddon Sundblom in Chicago during the late 1930’s. She was also well known in the commercial advertising industry as a superior artist.
