Description

Are you a beginning gardener? Are you interested in learning more about how to create your own black gold (or fertilizer) for your home garden or flower bed?

This auction item is for a half-day compost class. Bring up to 14 of your friends to learn more about how to divert your kitchen scraps and household waste from the landfill and into your backyard. This class can also be tailored for school-aged children (what kid doesn't love dirt and worms!).

In this class you will:
1) learn different methods for back yard composting (including vermicomposting),
2) see different examples of containment methods,
3) use what materials we already have available to us for maximum use of products, and
4) learn what not to put in your compost.

As part of the class you will also receive heavy snacks and drinks.

This class will be taught by Teresa Baker, the Recycling Coordinator in Granville County, North Carolina.

Special Instructions
