The Buddha enjoyed its much-anticipated and acclaimed premiere on PBS in 2010 and award-winning documentary filmmaker David Grubin has kindly presented the Shambhala Sun auction with this signed copy of the DVD. 

Narrated by Richard Gere, this two-hour biography of The Buddha was produced in conjunction with Asia Society's exhibition Pilgrimage and Buddhist Art. Resonating with many of the artworks on display, the film explores the spiritual and physical journeys of Prince Siddhartha and features interviews with His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama and prominent Buddhists including the poets W.S. Merwin and Jane Hirshfield; scholar Robert Thurman; psychiatrist Mark Epstein; and astrophysicist Trinh Xuan Thuan.
